wp_set_option_autoload_values()WP 6.4.0

Enables or disables autoloading for several options without changing their values.

Each option may have its own autoload value. This is useful when some options are needed on most pages and others are rarely used.

No Hooks.

Returns

Array.

  • array - option => value results. true means autoloading changed; false means the option was not found, already had the requested value, or the request failed.

Usage

wp_set_option_autoload_values( $options );
$options(array) (required)
Associative option => value array. Use true to enable autoloading and false to disable it. Option names must not be SQL-escaped.

The 'yes' and 'no' string values are deprecated. The alloptions and notoptions options are protected; trying to change them stops execution through wp_die().

Examples

#1 Setting Autoload for Multiple Options

We’ll enable autoloading for frequently used settings and disable it for settings that are needed only in the admin area.

$result = wp_set_option_autoload_values( [
	'my_plugin_frontend_settings' => true,
	'my_plugin_admin_settings'    => false,
] );

Notes

  • Global. wpdb. $wpdb WordPress database abstraction object.

Changelog

Since 6.4.0 Introduced.
Since 6.7.0 The autoload values 'yes' and 'no' are deprecated.
