get_the_category_list() │ WP 1.5.1
Retrieve links to the categories to which the post belongs in either HTML list or custom format.
The function should be used inside the WordPress Loop or use the $post_id parameter (see description).
Generally used for quick, delimited (e.g. comma-separated) lists of categories, as part of a post entry meta.
For a more powerful, list-based function, see wp_list_categories() .

Usage
get_the_category_list( $separator, $parents, $post_id );
$separator(string)
Separator between the links.
Default: '' - displays links in the
$parents(string)
How to show links if the current category is a child category. Can take:
Default: '' - just displays the categories to which the post belongs (no relation is taken into account)
$post_id(int)
ID of the post whose categories you want to display.
Default: false - current post ($post->ID)
